This is the Renault Kadjar(I think it's pronounced Ka-jar, with the d being mute), and this is what a French C segment crossover looks like.
Just as a reminder, this is what America's C segment crossovers look like.

Looks like a Ford Escape with a Renault badge.
BTW, the Escape (Kuga) is a Euro design.

Looks like an updated Mazda CX-7 with a Renault grille.

That makes sense.
Laurens van den Acker was Mazda's head of design when they did the CX-7. But he moved to Renault a few years ago.

He apparently still likes to have the bottom edge of the side windows kick up above the rear wheel arch.

"Kajar", with the English J sound.

I like it, but don't love it. Probably like the Tiguan even more:

That's what I said, with the mute d.

It would seem they need to start selling them in France first since I haven't seen a single one of these here.

I think they will publicly unveil it, at the Geneva motor show...

Not on sale yet - they've only just been announced.

The French cars I'd really want are mostly from Citroen, and I can understand them not selling here, since they have no existing dealer infrastructure.
There's no excuse for Renault though. Just bring us the damn new Twingo already, call it the new Nissan Versa if you must, I can't be bothered with such details.

The Renault Kadjar reminds me too much of the Nissan Qashqai with the Nissan looking better for it.

Till I saw you post on the Kadjar, I never knew it existed and thought it was a Renault Captur renamed for a different market. Then I looked it up and the Kadjar is the bigger sister to the Captur.
I think the Nissan would sell quite well in the U.S. market.
Though it is British built so might put off some people who go by the old stereotypes. Lol. ;)

Not the case.
People got over the war thing, and except for some old, crazy vets., we buy Japanese(and Korean) stuff, like we're little Asia.

I was more thinking of the British built car/electric thing. Lol.
